YouTube Toy Videos: As a parent, I will tell you that I truly hate them. For several years by children were addicted to them. I couldn’t understand why, though. They would spend an endless amount of time watching other people unwrap Kinder Surprise and other toys while describing them in full detail. For me, it’s something mind-numbingly boring, yet it’s also what they enjoy watching the most.
You’d think that my kids would eventually get bored with the videos, but no. Instead, they’ve moved on to other ridiculous YouTube Toy Videos or worse, videos of other people playing games. Sometimes I don’t know if it’s my age that’s the problem or if I seriously don’t get this generation’s fascination with YouTube videos. To me, they seem utterly boring. But for so many kids, it’s part of their everyday and core entertainment.
Needless to say, Internet addiction has become a huge problem so much so that experts are warning parents that they need to think twice before giving a 2-year-old an iPad. Sure, those YouTube Toy Videos might seem harmless, but there’s more to them than you think. Here’s what you need to know.
