Watch This Teacher Use The Whip And Nae Nae To Teach Her Students About Vocabulary

I love teachers, and I love that they put so much effort and imagination in to creating programs and curriculum to teach our kids. Sure, not every teacher is amazing, but when you get a really great teacher, it shows in your kids.

Kelli Littlejohn posted this video to her facebook page that’s been viewed almost 2 million times and simply captioned it ‘Thought I was just going to vocabulary day and then this happened …….’. Kelli was visiting her son in his third grade classroom during his vocabulary lesson and I’m sure she hadn’t intended on seeing something quite this adorable.

Her son’s teacher had created a way to teach her kids about vocabulary in a truly ingenious way – through music. The teacher wrote her own lyrics, relevant to her vocabulary lesson, and set it to the tune of Silentó’s Whip/Nae Nae, which we all know third graders love! So not only are these kids up and dancing and moving (something I wish more teachers would incorporate in to classroom life) but they’re learning their lesson all while having fun! Teacher Erica Lohn and student teacher Stephanie Macek wrote the lyrics that encouraged their students to have fun and learn at the same time. I’d say mission accomplished!
