For the Love of God, People, Stop Putting VapoRub in Your Vagina

Listen up, ladies, I know women don’t talk about vaginal health nearly enough which is probably why trends like vajazzling and glitter bombing your lady parts have become popular recently. It’s important for every woman to know that there are some things that just don’t belong in your vagina, no matter how many internet forums or blogs tell you it may enhance your sex life or make you feel warm and tingly.

Recently we saw in increase in the popularity of a product called Passion Dust, which is marketed as a “sparkling, candy flavored PASSION DUST” that one inserts in to their vagina to apparently make it smell and taste better.

Not surprisingly, doctors don’t think this is a very good idea advising women that it can lead to a whole host of issues.

Then Gwyneth Paltrow’s site GOOP not only promoted vaginal steaming, a practice doctors also advised against, but she also sold Yoni eggs that you’re meant to insert in your vagina to help cleanse and detox your vagina and increase your muscle tone. While many GOOP followers are buying the egg up as quickly as they can, doctors are warning against it.
