One of my biggest fears is being asked when I am due, even when I’m not pregnant. Like a lot of moms, I still have a belly after having kids, a mixture of my body shape and type, some diastasis recti (when the muscles in your stomach get separated as a result of pregnancy), and a fondness for chocolate chip cookies.
And unfortunately, that belly has led to some lingering doubts among certain people who have trouble telling if I’m just carrying some extra weight or if I’m carrying a special new surprise.
I know, super fun, right? I’m not the only woman whose faced the dreaded, “are you or aren’t you”? question from total strangers or even friends and family, but one new venture takes the dreaded question to a whole new, horrible level.
