After what seems like Mother Nature just couldn’t make up her mind, it looks like spring is finally here to stay (well, fingers crossed anyway) and we can finally put away our snow boots. This means that we will be trading winter jackets for shorts and sunscreen and you better make sure that you’re carrying bug spray with you everywhere that you go, too. Having this spray handy is going to be especially important this year because tick and mosquito infections and rapidly spreading and making both kids and adults really sick.
So while we’re not worried about making sure the kid’s snow boots still fit there is still a lot we have to have a handle on. We’re going to need to deal with sunscreen and making sure they don’t burn. And if that wasn’t bad enough we now have to worry about mosquitoes and ticks.
They’re not just a nuisance anymore, tick and mosquito infections are potentially dangerous and it’s making kids sick already this season.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is already issuing a warning for parents to keep an eye out for the bugs this season and gear up for any issues that could pop up.
