When I was pregnant with my first child, I guess you could say that I was a pretty paranoid pregnant mama. I totally believed all of the myths, legends and old wives tales about what to do and what not to do during your pregnancy. I mean, I’m sure you’ve heard them before: Carrying High & Down the Drain, what heartburn and food cravings mean, how taking a bath can drown your fetus and that cats have a natural urge to smother babies. I mean, a lot of them sound downright ridiculous, right?
Yet, I would be lying to you if I told you that I didn’t believe in some of them. In fact, one particular old wives tale about dying your hair during your pregnancy made me stop coloring my hair altogether. Yet for one mother from England, she learned a very hard lesson when her hair dye left her looking like a monster.
