Historic Court Decision Now Makes Being Genderless a Legal Status

One definition of agender is denoting or relating to a person who does not identify themselves as having a particular gender. Similarly, transgender is someone whose personal identity does not match their birth sex.

And now it is possible to be agender, legally.

A 27-year old video game designer from Portland, Oreogan is the first legally agender person thanks to a “General Judgment of Name and Sex Change” ruling made by a Oregon judge earlier this month. And while a lot of people are celebrating this new ruling, others are scratching their heads over it. Here’s what you need to know.
