This Mom Had To Fight Her Doctor Over A C-Section

Ugh. I would like to think that there are more doctors out there who truly and honestly care about their patients more than their own needs. While I’ve been lucky enough to have fantastic doctors (and pediatricians) who have taken the time to listen to me, ask me questions and be genuinely concerned about the needs of my family, I’ve also heard of families who have had the opposite. And by that I mean, dealing with doctors who always have one hand on the door knob, scheduling your child’s birth around their vacation plans and treating their patients like another number in the book.

Whatever the case may be, I totally understand both sides of the story (because let’s face it, being a dedicated doctor is no walk in the park), but that doesn’t mean anyone should get the short end of the stick when it comes to their prenatal care. I’m sure a lot of moms out there can agree with me that being educated about your choices during your pregnancy and for your birthing plan is extremely important for not only you, but for your unborn baby as well.
