When it comes to hairstylists, I always have the same problem: I end up getting a cut I don’t like but because I don’t have the guts to say anything (most of the time) I end up going to another salon. It’s hard finding a stylist that understands and knows your needs, and honestly, finding the right one is just as important as finding your soulmate.
Luckily, there’s a hairstylist in Great Britain that goes the distance for his clients. James Williams of the Jim the Trim salon in Briton Ferry in the United Kingdom could never quite get little Mason’s haircut just right. Now, while I know giving any child a haircut is a challenge, Mason is a boy with autism.
What James did though will melt your heart. Unable to get him to sit down in a seat, James got on the floor with Mason while he played on an iPhone. James then proceeded to give him a haircut while propped up on his elbows.
“Today I finally achieved it where we both layed on the floor in silence and he allowed me to cut away and give him his first proper haircut,” James said in a Facebook post. “Again achieving something in a job I love making both parents happy by giving extra attention to Mason by building a friendship at trust with Mason and myself.”
I LOVE this. James is someone who has complete love and dedication for what he does, and little Mason is so lucky to have him in his life.
James also added, “What gave the finishing touch, I asked for a high five and he hugged me. True barber love!”
