Whenever you hear of the disease Alzheimer’s, the last thing that you think of is it being associated with a toddler. We’d like to think of it as a disease that only affects those who have lived a full life, but it has tragically been diagnosed to 18-month-old Marian McGlocklin. The sweet toddler is suffering from an extraordinarily rare metabolic disorder known as Niemann-Pick disease type C – or childhood Alzheimer’s.
