“I want to make sure it is clear that the individual who was terminated does not reflect the values of the dedicated and skilled professionals at Alta Head Start,” Alta’s CEO Joe Shorokey said Wednesday in a statement.
He further said that behavior is inexcusable and won’t be tolerated. “We took this matter very seriously,” Shorokey said. “We took action immediately. We apologized to the parents, as well as to the community.”
Yet, that’s not enough for the parents of the child who was dragged. Stevelyn Jackson, the mother of the 4-year-old preschool student dragged down the hallway is suing the school.
