But hear this: Home births result in fewer complications for the mom, including laceration, infection, or hemorrhage. Fewer women who give birth at home use painkillers, too.
2. You Get Better Care and Attention
You don’t necessarily need a team of doctors and nurses to help you during labor. While there’s nothing wrong with having medical personnel on stand by, you can easily have a certified nurse or your primacy care doctor help deliver your baby at home. What’s more, you’ll probably even get more personalized care at home simply because you’re the only patient around!
