Study Suggests Grandparents Might Pose a Safety Threat to Grandchildren Because of One Thing

I absolutely love the bond that my children have with their grandmother and grandfather. Both my husband and I didn’t have grandparents while we were growing up and that’s why we’ve done all that we can to make sure that our children’s grandparents are present in their lives.

And while I appreciate all of the help and the support they’ve given us over the years, I won’t say that it’s always been easy. In fact, I’ve butted heads with the grandparents on more than just one occasion throughout the years and it mostly had to do with executive parental decision making. I mean, you should be able to decide if your child is sick enough for a dose of children’s Tylenol, right? Or if that stomach ache is from eating too many sweets or if it might indeed by from something more. Whatever the case, grandparents almost always add their two cents, especially when it comes to their health beliefs. And that might not necessarily always be a good thing.
