Study Finds New Parents Value THIS More Than Money, Sex, or Time

Several years ago when my first-born child was born, my sister-in-law said something to my husband and I that I still remember to this very day. She said, “Good luck, because you won’t be getting any sleep for the next seven years.” As a newbie, I really didn’t understand why she said that. What did she mean by seven years? I thought the sleepless period only lasted about a year? Was there something she knew that she was just not telling me? GAAAH!

Well, almost a decade later and I can tell you that she was absolutely correct. My kids are elementary school now and damn it, I still don’t get enough sleep every night. I can completely understand this new survey of parents expressing the number one thing they want in their lives. Or at least, the thing they want more than anything else. Trust me when I say that we can all relate to this.
