It was years ago when my parents first took my kids to see the Bee Movie in theaters. They offered to take them for the night and decided a movie would be fun. Once the DVD came out they bought that, and for a while it was all about Bee Movie in my house.
My kids love movies. They love them almost as much as I do. Back before we had great streaming services like Netflix my DVD shelf was overflowing. Even now I still buy DVD’s so I have them in the car for long rides.
Like many parents there are multiple movies I can recite line by line. Finding Nemo? I know every word. Mean Girls? Same. We’ve been currently watching How To Train Your Dragon 2 on repeat as well.
Let’s face it, when your child finds that special movie they love and they’ll sit still to watch, you play it as often as you need to. If that movie is going to buy you 5 minutes of peace in the shower or enough time to eat lunch without a child hanging off your hip, you play it. And you play it over, and over and over again.
