9 Signs You Need to Find a New Doctor for Your Pregnancy NOW

Finding a good doctor in your life is very important. In fact, I would rank it up there are high as finding a good husband or partner in life, a good job, a good neighborhood, and heck even a good credit score. You don’t want to be on bad terms with the man or woman you trust your health with and you certainly don’t want to have any doubts about their ability to take care of you, too. This is especially important when you are pregnant. A good doctor is one that will treat you like the mother-to-be that you are not just another patient to see in their office that day.

With that being said, finding a good practitioner who will treat your life as important as their own is hard these days. Finding one that actually listens to your needs and is readily accessible and available is incredibly important. If you find yourself on hold each time you call his or her office, you might have a problem on your hands.

Here are 9 reasons why you need to ditch your doctor and find another one NOW!

1. Google is More Informative Than Your Doctor

If you find yourself always googling your symptoms and asking online forums for advice on your pregnancy rather than your doctor, it’s time to find a new one. Your doctor should always thoroughly explain any questions or concerns you have, no matter how long it may take.

2. You Spend More Time With the Nurse Than the Doctor

This might not be a bad thing (especially if your nurse just happens to be awesome), but it might be a bad sign if your doctor is delegating all of his or her obligations onto his staff. In other words, he or she might being taking on more work than they can handle.

3. Always On Hold

This is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. If it takes you 45 minutes to make an appointment for your next visit, this is a sign for you to find another doctor to see. That’s because there’s a good chance you might be waiting several hours in the wait room before he or she even sees you!
