Say what you will about Selma Blair, but whatever you do, just don’t call her a soccer mom. The Hollywood actress, who shares a 4-year-old son with her ex-fiancé Jason Bleick, says she’ll do anything for her beloved Arthur, but the one thing she won’t do is go to his soccer games every Saturday morning.
According to People Magazine, the single celebrity mom opened up about motherhood and the things she will and would do for her precious son.
She said, “His dad takes him to soccer because I’m not going to be a soccer mom! I don’t know how well I’d fit in with that crowd. I’ll swing by every now and then.”
Selma also admitted that one of Arthur’s biggest obsessions is also her biggest fear, too. Well, make that her fear and mine.
She said, “Cockroaches are my biggest fear in the world. That is my phobia. But that’s all he wants. I’ve caught him caterpillars and watched them turn into butterflies. But no, all he wants is cockroaches. He’s outgoing and charming and he loves to collect bugs. His new thing is he wants cockroaches more than anything. I’m like, ‘We can move to New York and that can be arranged.’ ”
Yikes! Sorry, but that’s one place where my kids couldn’t cross the line. They can collect anything they want in the world, but just leave those roaches out of my house, lol!
