I think many of us would argue that being a parent is the hardest job in the world. There’s so many pressures to be a good parent to your child that it can sometimes become too much.
Sadly many parents often deal with their struggles on their own and don’t get the help they need to deal with the mounting pressures they feel. We’ve unfortunately seen too many instances of parents who become overwhelmed and frustrated and take their frustrations out on themselves and even their children. When mental illness is involved often times there are tragic results that affect entire families.
Two Texas sisters had their lives tragically cut short recently after police allege their own mother shot them in the head.
This tragic story is once again shedding a light on mental health and mental health issues and what, if anything, could have been done to help Sarah Nicole Henderson before she allegedly shot her little ones Kaylee Danielle, 7, and Kenlie, 5 as they slept.
Reports say that authorities visited the home earlier in the day after Henderson’s husband called to report his wife’s erratic behavior, but they noticed nothing out of the ordinary and both Henderson and her husband told police everything was OK.
