I’ve heard of so many young little girls chopping their locks for kids with cancer and I absolutely think it’s a fantastic idea. Not only do young kids learn how to be both gracious and giving in this very selfless act, but it also makes them feel really, really good about themselves. I mean, who hasn’t felt that feeling of euphoria knowing that you’ve done something to help brighten another person’s day?
That’s probably what actress and celebrity mother Salma Hayek was thinking as she revealed that her 8-year-old daughter Valentina chopped her locks to make a wig for a child with cancer. Here’s what she wrote on her Instagram account:
My daughter Valentina is growing her beautiful mane so she can cut it and donate it to make a wig for children with cancer. Now that is the spirit of Christmas.
Aww! Love this and talk about a proud mommy moment. Tell us Hot Moms, how are you teaching your children to give back this holiday season?
