Pregnant Mom Gets Judge to Sign an Eviction Notice for Her Baby

When it comes to stimulating labor and getting a baby to make an appearance, I’ve heard the usual old wives’ tales. Eating something spicy like a hot curry is supposed to work. So too is having vigorous sex. But one mom in American Fork, Utah came up with something else that seemed to do the trick.

Earlier this month Kaylee Bays was pregnant with her third child – a girl. She was 12 days away from her due date but she was ready to give birth. She was sick of heartburn and tired of being kicked in the ribs and waddling around.

At first it seemed as though her baby was ready to make an appearance. On Monday Oct. 16 she began having contractions. But then the pain stopped and she was right back at work the following day. But Bays thought she had a trick up her sleeve that just might get her kid to vacate her womb.

The 33-year-old is a judicial assistant at the Fourth District Court in Provo, Utah and she asked a judge to help her get her baby out. Sounds strange but they sought to do so in a very unusual – and cute – way.
