Jim Bob Duggar’s Son-in-Law May Follow in His Footsteps

As fans of 19 Kids and Counting — and anyone else who lives in the State of Arkansas — likely know, Jim Bob Duggar was once a politician. Before he was a controversial reality show star, the patriarch of the clan was elected to the Arkansas House of Representatives, serving the state from 1999 to 2002. During his time in the House he was vice chair of the House Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee and also a participant in the Insurance and Commerce Committee and Judiciary Committee. He also was a Senate hopeful, running in the Republican Party of Arkansas primary election in 2002, losing by a landslide to the incumbent. He tried again in 2006, losing to another candidate by only 200 votes.

If you missed Jim Bob’s political career, you may be in luck, because it seems as though someone else in his family has aspirations for office — on of his son-in-law’s.
