A Year Earlier
Reports say that during that emergency call where Nancy Moronez called for the 11-week old baby she was babysitting, firefighter Lt. John Kuster was on scene. He felt an a strange sense of deja vu. A year earlier, he had a call at the same address only that time it was for a 6-month-old child. That baby, too, was being babysat by Moronez and was found lifeless. That case, too, was ruled as a SIDS death.
This story has a few twists in it. And these cases might not have been linked together at all if it wasn’t for Nancy Moronez’s daughter, Ami Brunka.
According to Ami, before she was born, her mother had another child, a boy who had died when he was 18-days old.
According to TIME, Ami was born in 1981, a year after her brother had died. Ami said that her mom would always act weird when she or someone else asked about her son, and she had told Ami there was no grave because they had “donated his body to science.”
But, she eventually got the truth.
