Body shaming is not cool and mother-in-law criticizing should not happen. There is nothing more frustrating that having to lose that pesky baby weight, amirite? Let’s face it, for some women, baby weight sticks around for a long time after our babies are no longer babies.
Having a child changes so much in your body, from your hormones to your mood to your size and shape. Some women are genetically blessed to lose that baby weight soon after they deliver their baby while other women have to work hard at the gym and watching their diet to get back to the same weight as they were pre-pregnancy.
Then for many women they get pregnant again and the entire process starts all over. I have friends who are thin and fit who even noted how drastically their bodies changed shape after having their kids. Even if they lost the weight and saw the same numbers on the scale after delivery, they admitted that their basic shape had changed.
Those of us who have had kids are all too painfully aware of all the changes our bodies have gone through since having kids, and we do not need anyone, no matter who they are, to point those changes out.
