Welcoming a baby is the most exciting time in a couple’s lives. Parents busily prepare for baby’s new arrival: getting the nursery ready, car seat installed, and baby’s clothes washed and put away.
Then finally, the baby comes home! Those first few weeks home with baby are the most precious, and those first moments the ones to treasure forever.
Meagen Gries gave birth to a “beautiful, smiley, vivacious” baby girl names Molly on February 21, 2015.
“She was healthy, agreeable and so happy,” Gries said. “She was welcomed by her adoring older brother, Owen, and a family that could not have been more excited to have a little girl in its midst.”
Just a few weeks later on May 4th, Gries dropped Molly – who was now 10 weeks old – off at the babysitter’s house for her first day of daycare. It was Meagen’s first day back teaching first grade at Echo Hills Elementary School.
While taking her lunch break around noon, Gries received a phone call that changed her life forever.
