Another says, “If it’s such an inconvenience to have babies and give them your personal attention and affection they by all means stop having them.”

Another person says, “thoughts – when baby cries its his way of communicating to you there is a need to be met. Does baby cry just to get put back to sleep? Or does baby cry because they want the comfort of their parent? Is this denying them that need?”

There were a lot of people who came to their defense, too.

One user on Facebook writes, “The only reason anyone would criticize this is either out of ignorance or jealously. I would not begrudge a parent of an infant the right to six hours on uninterrupted sleep.”

Another says, ” As a mom you do what you have to. I don’t know about you, when my baby cries I’ll do whatever it takes. Leave them alone.”
