This Woman Got Into Major Debt By Trying To Get Instagram Famous

Everything she did was in the quest for the perfect 'gram.

The world of social media has changed so much about the way that we live. People are now documenting everything in their life. Well, at least that’s what people say they are doing. But that’s different from the reality. People are not sharing everything instead they are carefully curating only the best parts of their life. The parts that they deem worthy enough to share. The best lighting. The best outfits. The perfect food photography. And it’s hard at times to know what’ real. And what is just perfectly staged. And that can be dangerous for many reasons and for Lissette Calveiro, it was.

The 26-year-old learned a hard lesson and she’s now trying to fight her way out of it after she fell into the danger trap of Instagram. She’s now sharing her story in hopes that others don’t find themselves in the same situation.

One day at a time is the secret to building momentum.

For Lissette Calveiro, it all started when she moved to New York in 2013 for a internship in PR. Moving from Miami, she wanted to reinvent herself. So, she decided to become an Instagram influencer — someone who helps influence trends just by living their life. People who are successful at this can make a lot of money and have some pretty awesome experiences.

But, for Lissette Calveiro, it spiraled into a huge lesson learned and a warning for young women and girls everywhere.
