YouTuber’s Parent Phone-Shaming Prank Goes Way Too Far

This steps way over the line

You know what — parents don’t have to be on all the time. They don’t always have to be watching their kids every second to qualify as a parent who knows what they are doing. Somewhere along the way people got this idea mixed up and shaming began to happen. Parents are shamed if they have their kids in daycare because they want or have to work. We see shaming happen if parents go out for a night or when they go on vacation. And there’s a phone-shaming thing that happens, too.

I’m sure you have seen it too — the looks parents get when they’re at the park or an indoor arena and they glance at their phone. Somehow along the way people came to think that it was not an OK thing to do. To have a few moments to yourself.

I don’t think phone-shaming is OK. Others don’t think parents being on their phone while their kids are engaged elsewhere, happy, and safe.

Well, one person took it all too far and posted a video on YouTube and Facebook that is angering people for good reason and it brought out a whole lot of those phone-shamers and it went way too far.
