Jill Duggar is one reality television star that just can’t catch a break. This time people are calling her out for being a negligent mother for a recent photo that she posted on Instagram of her two kids.
It doesn’t matter what she’s doing, who she’s with or what she says, her critics want to blast her one way or another. While there’s probably a chance that Jill is used to it by now, she probably didn’t expect that people would go after her skills as a mother. I mean, any woman on this planet will tell you that’s where it hurts the most. Yet, that’s exactly what her internet trolls recently did.
Now, I’m no baby car seat expert, but if a child looks content, is not in any sort of danger and has his or her parent nearby, should we worry? That’s a question that the internet should be asking itself this morning. Because as much as the Duggars do deserve some of the criticism they get (for their hypocrisy), this is getting a little out of hand. People need to mind their own business.
Jill Duggar is getting slammed for being a negligent mother—again!
Jill Duggar recently shared a seemingly innocent photo of her and her two children, Israel and Sam enjoying what looks like a fan day out together. But the internet had to spoil everything by pointing out that Jill may or may not have placed her son Sam incorrectly in his car seat. Because, why wouldn’t they?
Of course, it didn’t take very long for Jill’s critics to get their pitchforks out.
“He looks like he’s getting to big for his carseat, he needs an inch above his head! And if the straps didn’t come with the carseat they can’t be used,” someone wrote.
And then there were these comments.
“Sam is looking a little too big for that car seat! Just put him straight in the stroller,” another person added. “Poor guy looks squished! You should be more worried about your son’s safety in that car seat that he’s too big for.”
As we all know, the internet is full of safety experts. Another said, “Hey there! Those strap covers aren’t permitted for use and make your car seat not safe for Sam. The strap covers are unsafe. And all around the seat is outgrown and he needs the next size.”
Goodness gracious. Do people know how to mind their own business? Apparently not. All of this criticism is really getting out of hand! While I can understand that some people are simply worried about Jill’s kids and their safety, we are more than certain that she’s got things covered on her end. I mean, Jill Duggar did grow up with 18 siblings around her. If there is anyone qualified to take care of children, it’s her. Plus, these are her kids. Since when did the internet think it was ok to police what other mothers should or shouldn’t do with their children?
Actually, never mind. This kind of stuff has been going on for years. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it’s going to end anytime soon.
But let’s be honest here: are we surprised? Did we think that Jill Duggar or someone in her family could go a few days without igniting some sort of drama or online controversy? We didn’t think so either. Because let’s face it: the Duggars aren’t the top tier reality television stars that they used to be. And in this day and age in the celebrity world, you have to do something to get your name in the headlines, right?
Now, that’s not to say that Jill is doing anything wrong or that she is harming her child in anyway (in fact, it’s quite the opposite), but when you’ve got as many fans and critics as Jill Duggar, someone is bound to say something.
