So parents like me face this dilemma on a daily basis: We want to give our children everything we didn’t have. But we don’t want them to forget where they came from either.

Manners are something used every day to make a good impression on others and to feel good about oneself. No matter where you are – at home, work, or with friends – practicing good manners is important.

As we all know, good manners are more than opening doors and writing thank you notes. If you want to raise a compassionate, caring child, you just have to be a compassionate, caring parent, right?
