Where You Live Has A HUGE Impact On How Many Kids You’ll Have

Rural kids aren't so innocent.

When you’re raising a family, it can be hard to decide and narrow down where you want to raise them. Both places have their pros and cons. There are great perks of having really close neighbors, but they can suck too. It can also be amazing to raise your kids in an area where they have a lot of land.

Where you grow up obviously has a huge impact on who you are as a human. Many people believe that growing up in the city makes kids too mature too soon, while rural kids keep their innocence far longer than their city-dwelling counterparts.

Well, guess what? Those people are wrong, at least when it comes to things like when women first have sex and how many kids they eventually have.

As it turns out, rural women start gettin’ it on at a younger age than females in cities. Who knew?

Using data collected by the National Survey of Family Growth, researchers combed through responses from in-person interviews with more than 10,000 U.S. women, ages 18 to 44, between 2011 and 2015. They discovered significant differences in city and rural women in three key areas: when they first have sex, the type of birth control they use, and how many kids they have.
