A few years ago – after my second child was born – my body started doing some weird things. I developed food intolerances, to wheat and soy specifically. I knew I was already lactose intolerant but still will indulge in some cheese every now and then. But I have been gluten-free and soy-free for at least four years now. I feel great!
But going out to eat is a bit of a challenge. Most restaurants do have some gluten-free options, but depending where you go, there are slim pickings. As for fast food places, there are none. This probably serves me well because junk/fast food used to be one of my weaknesses.
Back in the day – I’m taking as a teenager/ young adult – I’d drive though McDonald’s for a McChicken, Cheeseburger and fries, or my favorite after a night out, an Egg McMuffin. Greasy fast food at its best, right?!
