Having a ‘Natural’ C-Section Is Better for Baby and Mom

Up until now, we’ve known there are two ways to give birth – either vaginal birth, or by c-section.

I had both of my babies vaginally, with both of them almost becoming an emergency c-section. With my first, I had so much epidural that I couldn’t feel myself pushing and so I couldn’t push effectively. The doctors used a vacuum to help my little guy’s head out but they were ready to do a C-section as his heart rate was becoming elevated.

My second was facing up instead of down, which mean horrible back labor. Pushing wasn’t helping, and they were going to prep me for C-section when I decided I was going to give pushing another try. Then, my second baby was born.

But, “natural c-sections” are becoming more popular and changing surgical birth.
