I had all my kids before Instagram and SnapChat were even invented. My youngest is 10 now and I had just been on Facebook for a few years (I think?!) during my pregnancy. I definitely used it to update my friends and close family about my pregnancy and definitely when I had my son, but I wasn’t that woman who was posting weekly bump pictures to keep everyone updated on the growth of my stomach.
Heck I don’t think weekly or even monthly bump pics were a thing when I was having my kids. Nowadays you can’t scroll through your social media pages without seeing pregnant celebrities and reality stars and even your expecting friends and family giving you the play by play on their growing bodies and all the new and exciting things that are happened to their unborn baby that day.
It’s all very exciting for the mom to-be, but for others it’s just a lot of looking at baby bumps that don’t seem to change much from week to week, unless someone has ‘popped’ at some point.
One woman decided to document her growing baby bump on social media but these aren’t your typical bump pictures.
