Four-Year-Old Dies After Finding a Loaded Gun in Her Grandma’s Purse

I hate reading news reports of little children dying – no matter what takes their life, be it cancer or child abuse. But I find it especially painful to read about a kid who dies because they accidentally shoot themselves after finding a loaded firearm in their home.

It’s horrible. I cannot imagine the guilt that a gun-owning parent, grandparent or guardian would feel. That is something that will weigh heavily on your heart for a lifetime. The case of a 4-year-old Florida girl who died while at her grandparents’ home is particularly horrifying.
