According to The Today Show, back in 2011, firefighter Marc Hadden of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, received a call from a woman experiencing severe abdominal pain. When it became clear that he would not be able to reach the hospital in time, he took it upon himself to assist her in delivering the child.
Because of the mother’s difficult circumstances at the time, she immediately put the baby up for adoption. Marc and his wife Beth decided to adopt her 48 hours after her birth. This was a huge blessing for Marc’s family of four who always knew they wanted their family to grow, but couldn’t. Just 48 hours after the emergency call, their new bundle of joy wrapped in pink was coming home.
