Fergie is the kind of singer that loves to go the distance. There’s no denying that she’s got a quirky, if not unusual style to her. After all, she’s the Duchess who gave us such great hits like ‘London Bridge,’ ‘Glamorous’ and ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry.’
But as I’m sure you can recall, Fergie’s prime was well over ten years ago. She’s not the chart topper that she used to be. As a matter of fact, I honestly can’t recall the last time she had a Top Ten hit in the charts. Even though she’s been making headlines for her personal life, she hasn’t been doing the same for her career and her music.
Still, there’s no denying that Fergie will always be around. That’s why she was recently asked to sing the national anthem at the NBA All Star Game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The only problem though is that it didn’t come out the way everyone had anticipated. In fact, she’s getting slammed left and right for what a lot of people think was a pretty disrespectful way of singing the anthem. Yikes. And now Fergie is fighting back and defending herself and her love for our country.
