Science Says Wanting To “Eat” Your Baby Makes You A Better Parent

The more you know.

At some point in time we’ve all heard someone gush over a newborn’s sweet features with the phrase, “I could just eat your baby up.” It’s a common figure of speech and obviously not one that’s meant to evoke concerns of cannibalism, but rather praise for those chubby cheeks and precious rolls.

And, hey, maybe you’ve been tempted on occasion to gobble up your little one’s tummy or toes. Science says it’s all good. In fact, a study says wanting to eat your baby in the proverbial sense is exactly what nature intended. It might even make you a better parent.

Say what? You should want to eat your baby?
