According to my parents, I was a slow eater as a child. In fact, they’ll even tell you that I was a painfully slow eater so much so that I would often make my mother late for work. Why? Because before working her PM shift, she wanted to make sure that I ate a proper dinner before she dropped me off at my babysitter’s place where I would most likely be fed an abundant amount of sweets. But it never worked.
And I’m sure I’m the only kid who likes to take 3-hour lunch and dinners. That’s why so many parents are pushing school officials to extend lunch periods. After all, kids only get about 20 minutes to eat their lunch during the school day. And is it enough? Probably not. Here’s what you need to know.
