Parents every day struggle with having to leave their kids in the care of a home care giver or daycare, and I don’t think it’s ever an easy decision. And while we know there are countless amazing and loving care givers out there who care selflessly for other people’s children day in and day out, sometimes that isn’t always the case.
When we send our kids to daycare, it’s never quite without hesitation these days. with so many stories surfacing about neglect and mistreatment, it’s enough to make a parent cringe. But at the end of the day, we have to do whats best for us, our jobs and our family as a whole – with means daycare is the only option for many, many people.
We do know that things happen at day cares. Children get in arguments, maybe there’s a biting incident or a hitting incident, but that’s normally the worst a parent expects. At least we all hope that’s the worst we can expect.
After all, kids are unpredictable sometimes and a daycare provider can’t be on top of all the kids every minute of every day.
