People Still Make Wrong Assumptions About Dads

It is still uncommon for people to see men dropping off children at school and assume that he works from home, or works nights.
“It is fascinating that people assume I must be the provider for my family instead of dedicating myself to care and domestic duties,” he writes.
The statistics show that men who stay home to care for kids is still the minority, so it’s unfortunate and yet expected that people are going to make the wrong assumptions. Until we see more equality in both men and women caring for children, we will still hear comments like these.
“The sight of a man caring for young children, however, is enough to leave many people totally flummoxed,” he writes.
