I am currently trying to book dentist appointments for my four kids. Any parent knows how hard it is to schedule appointments for kids that doesn’t require taking them out of school but also works around their extracurricular schedules. It’s a pain but it’s something that’s important for their health and my local dentist office is always great about working with our schedule, especially because I try to get all four kids in at the same time to limit how many trips I need to make to the dentist.
I also consider myself very lucky that we have good health care insurance in my family, which allows me to be able to take my kids to the dentist every six to nine months as well as the one with braces to the orthodontist every four to six weeks. As we all know, going to the dentist is expensive, and definitely considered a luxury for many families but also a necessity.
Anyone who has ever had a toothache or a cavity that hasn’t yet been treated knows how incredibly painful it can be, which is what makes this particular story so hard to read.
