There are some things that really defined childhood for us later millennials. We were technically born in the ’80s, but the bulk of our childhood was spent in the ’90s. That means it was filled with snap bracelets, chokers, and scrunchies. We rocked that look and it was thanks to stores like Claire’s Accessories that kept us up with the trends. Being able to hit up the mall with some cash and a group of friends meant we all got to dress the same, feel extra cool, and it was a huge part of middle school life.
But, let’s be honest here — no one really visits the mall anymore. It’s not like back in the day when we had nothing better to do or no where else to get our shopping done. Now, everything is done online and the mall seems like a daunting task instead of a fun trip. The ease of shopping at Amazon and having it arrive to you the very next day just makes that so much easier.
Plus, you don’t have to put on pants, which is always a bonus.
Well, pull out your hoop earrings because we’ve got some bad news. It looks like the store has had its run and heading in the same direction of another favorite, Toys R Us.
