Chelsea Peretti’s Twitter Rant on Things NOT to Say to Pregnant Women Is Hilarious

There’s one thing that I never do whenever I see a pregnant woman. It doesn’t matter if I know them or not. If they’re a friend or a family member I won’t do it. And I definitely don’t do this to pregnant strangers on the street. I don’t touch or rub someone’s baby bump without either asking or being invited to do so first.

I can’t imagine what it would be like for someone to come up and start rubbing my belly (even though sometimes it looks like I’m carrying a food baby). So I wouldn’t do it to someone else. I must confess though that I think less about what I say to mommies-to-be. Thankfully Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress Chelsea Peretti is here to educate those of us who pepper pregnant women with cliché after cliché.
