Carrie Fisher Once Sent a Severed Cow Tongue to One of Hollywood’s Predators After He Sexually Assaulted Her Friend

Ever since the New York Times broke the story that Harvey Weinstein allegedly sexually harassed and assaulted multiple women it has been impossible to get away from it. Now, thanks to Alyssa Milano’s “#metoo” campaign encouraging women to share their experiences, a light is finally being shone on how widespread this problem is.

If you’re a woman and you’ve made it off this planet without being groped, harassed or sexually assaulted at some point in your life you’re a rare bird. And it doesn’t matter what you wear or how you look as screenwriter Heather Ross discovered shortly after she moved to Hollywood from Tuscan, Arizona in about 1999.

In a recent interview she revealed that she met an Oscar-winning producer (not Weinstein) online and he suggested that they meet up for lunch or dinner to discuss her involvement in a project. Ross said that, given that she is overweight and was dressed like an “oversized olive,” it never occurred to her that this man would force himself on her. But that’s what she alleged happened and, when she told her friend Carrie Fisher, the actress did something especially ballsy in response.
