Could love be in the air for Brad Pitt? Or is this new friendship with MIT professor Nero Oxman just that: a friendship? Pitt has been spending some time with the esteemed professor, leading some to believe that more could be going on behind the scenes. Professor Oxman is an acclaimed architect and award-winning artist. Brad Pitt is, of course, one of the most famous actors in the world. It sounds like a perfect match, but it could just be the beginnings of a professional friendship. Pitt has kept a pretty low profile since his separation from Angelina Jolie, and the pair is still finalizing their divorce and custody agreement.
Pitt and Oxman met when they collaborated on an architecture project. Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation builds affordable houses for people in need, focusing on environmentally friendly sustainable development. Oxman, according to her MIT bio, “coined the term, and pioneered the field of, Material Ecology, which considers computation, fabrication, and the material itself as inseparable dimensions of design. In this approach, products and buildings are biologically informed and digitally engineered by, with and for, nature”. Oxman and her team have won numerous prestigious awards for their work.
