Birthdays are special celebrations for everyone. It’s the one day you get to eat birthday cake and simply celebrate turning one year older. For many people, birthdays are simply a very difficult time. For any parent who has ever lost a child, their birthday is an annual reminder of the child that is no longer with them.
Losing a child has to be the most difficult and heartbreaking thing a parent will ever experience. No matter how many years pass, the pain never goes away. Many parents find ways to help others in an effort to channel their grief. Still, when their child’s birthday rolls around, it must be a difficult day.
For many grief stricken parents, performing a random act of kindness is one of the ways they honor their lost child. It could be anything from buying a coffee for the person next in line at the drive thru, or purchasing something special for them.
One young man was on the receiving end of one of these random acts of kindness lately. Kyle Jauregui had stopped to pick up a birthday cake for his younger sister when found out it was already paid for.
