Just like many other parents out there, I have my good mom days and I have my bad mom days. As hard as I try to be balanced and fair while also teaching my children the different between right and wrong, more often than not I lose it. It sucks to admit it, but I just can’t help it. I’m not a perfect parent. I’ll even go as far as saying that my meltdowns are just as bad as the ones that my kids sometimes have, too.
With that being said, I know I’m not a perfect parent. And I don’t pretend to be one, either. While yes, many parents do like to showcase their highlights reel on social media (and I know that I do that from time to time), behind closed doors it’s a different story. We can’t pretend that we have our sh*t together when we are barely holding on to bits and pieces of strings and threads.
