I don’t know about you, but I am always wondering if my children are getting to sleep at the right time. We all know that if it is too early then the little ones mess around and never fall asleep. But if it is too late then no matter how quickly they drift off, they’re still exhausted the next day.
Every single living creature needs to get good sleep. It is the primary activity of the brain during early development. The sleep-wake cycle, are regulated by light and dark and these rhythms take time to develop, resulting in the irregular sleep schedules of newborns. The rhythms begin to develop at about six weeks, and by three to six months most infants have a regular sleep-wake cycle.
