You just don’t really get it, till you hold that little precious baby in your arms for the very first time. The smell, the squirm, the cry ( it all makes you melt )! At the same time … The question that permeates is… WILL I BE A GOOD ENOUGH MOM? AM I A GOOD ENOUGH MOM?
C-Sections vs Vaginal, Strollers, Mommy and Me Classes, organic foods, potty training. Do I give my husband enough attention, do I call my family, can I make the PTA meetings on time?? All play into that thought process… Am I a good enough MOM? Have I provided all the “Stuff” my baby… MY Family … needs or wants?
Time Magazine has started what some are calling the “MOMMY WARS” those who support the Sears Method of Attachment Parenting and those who choose not to follow. Is this an attempt to drive their numbers up when they are at a low?? It is Mother’s Day what a great time to do this!! Why can’t we try to educate vs. making moms feel inadequate?
The cover photo has america squirming and questioning motives. Is it about capturing a moment that will sell a magazine? When we all say to ourselves “What is TIME magazine doing here?” How can an attractive mom with a child looking straight at the camera be the vision of education.. Because, it does not look like breastfeeding to us! @Alyssa_Milano is clear she does not appove!!! by saying on twitter… .@Time, no! You missed the mark! You’re supposed to be making it easier for breastfeeding moms. Your cover is exploitive & extreme.
