One British mommy is being applauded for losing her “s**t, quite literally.” Alex Gerrard (for our U.K. readers out there, not the footie player’s wife) writes a Facebook blog about life with her 2-year-old twins Osian and Rhydian. They’re adorable, but they’re twins so they are a bit of a handful.
In a recent post she revealed that someone at a supermarket made her life especially difficult. Gerrard and her toddlers were going to a grocery store where her husband, who works in maintenance, “was showing his fire engine to the public.” But what started off as a “pleasant experience for all” quickly turned south when the mom and her toddlers returned to the parking lot.
She wrote: “When I got back to my car an oversized, too old to be a boy racer, pulled into the PARENT AND BABY space next to me as if it was a F1 Pitt stop.” Noting the “break neck speed,” she wrote that she “thought maybe they were giving everything away for free in Tesco to warrant the urgency.”
Gerrard wrote: “I politely gave my sweetest smile and said, ‘I’m sorry you may not have noticed but these are parent and baby spaces.’” What happened next has turned her into a mommy hero.
